Dr. Radheshyam Naik is a distinguished Medical Oncologist with over 30 years of experience in cancer care, hematology, and bone marrow transplantation. A pioneer in the field, he is credited with performing Karnataka’s first bone marrow transplant and the state’s first intra-arterial chemotherapy through port.

Dr. Naik received advanced training in oncology and transplantation from globally renowned institutions including M.D. Anderson Cancer Institute (USA), International School for Cancer Care (Oxford, UK), University of New South Wales (Australia), and Hadassah University (Israel). He further honed his expertise at The New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center, and Harper Hospital in the USA.

As a key contributor to the development of haematology and bone marrow transplant services in Karnataka, Dr. Naik has led numerous national and international clinical trials, having studied over 100 chemotherapy drugs. He has also authored and co-authored multiple research publications in reputed oncology journals.

He currently heads the Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Bone Marrow Transplantation division, combining academic rigor with clinical excellence to offer comprehensive cancer care.

Dr. Naik has led over 100 national and international clinical trials across chemotherapy agents, immunotherapy, and precision oncology. His notable contributions include studies on CAR-T cell therapy applications and haploidentical transplant protocols in Indian patients.
He has published in international journals such as The Lancet Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, and the Indian Journal of Medical and Paediatric Oncology. He continues to collaborate with global institutions on translational research projects.

Medical Breakthroughs

Dr. Naik pioneered Karnataka’s first bone marrow transplant and was the first in the state to administer intra-arterial chemotherapy via port. He introduced bloodless autologous transplants for Jehovah’s Witness patients and was instrumental in making haploidentical bone marrow transplants accessible across South India.
